Barh

A subdivision in Patna district of Bihar, the town of Barh was once the largest lentil and grain-producing region of India during the British Raj. Many historical structures sit by the banks of the Ganges in Barh: an 800-year-old Umanath temple, the 150-year-old Barh court, the tomb of Suleiman Chisti built by Pathan emperor Sher Shah Suri, and a mosque constructed by the daughter of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
