Komandorski Islands
The Komandorski Islands, or Commander Islands, is a group of treeless islands off of the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Bering Sea. The islands consist of Bering Island, Medny Island and two islets. Bering Island holds the largest village, Nikolskoye. Inhabitants of the islands are both of Russian and Aleutian decent and mainly engage in fishing, hunting and whaling.
