Nizhni Novogorod

Nizhni Novogorod is among the largest and most urban cities in Russian.  Although the city is known for its industrial prowess, it is also a historical and cultural center.  Walking through the city you will find many old buildings with classic style Russian architecture, as well as beautiful modern inspired architecture. The Kremlin is worth a visit and includes a church, war monument with eternal flame, and a splendid art museum and impressive views of the Volga River. The city boasts plenty of shopping malls and is known for its traditional Russian crafts and gifts.
