Simbirsk/Uljanovsk

Uljanovsk (Ulyanovsk) is located in the mid-eastern demographic of Russia. It was first founded by Tsar Alexey in 1648 as Simbirsk and besieged in the autumn of 1670 by Stepan Razin’s army. This historically rich destination is abundant in museums and theaters available to the public, and is also notable as the birthplace of Vladimir Lenin.
