Anzio

Anzio is a charming fishing port on the coast of Lazio, south of Rome. In fact, Romans drive to Anzio simply to enjoy the fresh seafood from an array of restaurants lining the port. Along the beautiful sandy beaches visitors will discover ruins pertaining to the Roman imperial palace and an ancient Roman port. Also of interest may be the Archaeological museum located in a grand 17th-century Villa.
