Cavtat Cavtat is the southernmost town in the Dubrovnik Neretva County of Croatia off the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Originally discovered by the Greeks in the 6th century BC, it was given the name Eipdaurus. However under Roman rule around 228BC, its name was changed to Latin Civitas Vetus which means “old city.” |
