Andorra

Andorra is a small mountainous country in the Pyrenees between Spain and France. Andorra is the 6th smallest nation in Europe and surrounded by the great rugged snow-filled mountains of the Pyrenees. Between 1278 – 1994, Andorrans lived under a co-principality of the French chief of state and the Spanish bishop of Urgel. This feudal system revised itself into a parliamentary democracy and the long isolated mountainous region of Andorra achieved great prosperity. Andorra’s alpine climate attracts many winter-sports tourists.
