Pythagoria

Off the coast of Turkey and surrounded by the jade seas of the Aegean, Samos is most known as the birthplace of Pythagoras, the ancient mathematician who developed the algebraic equation a2 x b2 = c2. The town of Pythagoria is a cluster of white-washed and red-roofed buildings and slivers of picturesque beach to sun-bathe at, framing a scenic marina accented by the coming and going sail boats and local fishermen. Low, rolling mountains further inland are viewable from the port. Stroll along the waterfront restaurants and shops, indulging in local cuisine, fruit (citrus and cherries especially), honey and herbs from the mountainside beyond town.
