Monfalcone

Monfalcone is a charming modern city in the Gorizia provence of Italy. The city has a special archeological past and has a fine Speleological and Paleontological Museum. The city also boasts a number of beautiful churches including the Duomo (S. Ambrogio) in the neo-Romanesque style. Also of interest is the Church of S. Polo,  a medieval building built from the stones of a nearby Roman bridge.
