Bassano del Grappa Bassano del Grappa is a medieval town located in the province of Vicenza, in the Veneto region of northern Italy. Due to its nearby location to the Alps, the architecture of the town has a decidedly Austrian flavor intermixed with the typical charming Veneto-style of arcaded streets and piazzas. Bassano del Grappa is most famous for its covered bridge, the Ponte degli Alpini, originally built over the Brenta river in 1569.
