Bayreuth

Bayreuth is located in Bavaria, Germany, along the Red Main River. It is the largest town in Upper Franconia, and is world-famous for its annual Richard Wagner music festival. Bayreuth boasts one of the most beautiful baroque theaters in Europe, belonging to the UNESCO World Heritage. Bayreuth is a town rich in baroque history and has many notable sights including the Festival Theatre and Margravial Opera House, the historic city center and Hermitage, the old palace, the new palace and court garden, the orangery and sun temple, and the Richard Wagner Museum.
