Dakhla The territory of Western Sahara, now controlled by Morocco, was once the Spanish Sahara. Dakhla, at the head of a peninsula jutting into the Atlantic, was capital of the province of Rio de Oro. Today it is a quiet town at the edge of some very pretty areas of the Sahara. |
