Papallacta

East of Quito is a route taken by Francisco de Orellana in 1542 that passed through the beautiful Andes Valley. Its hot springs led the explorer to this little town tucked away in the mountains called Papallacta. With very little accommodation available for its guests, visitors often book hostels. Travelers can explore the legendary hot springs, hike the Andes terrain, and spot the many species of birds.
