Aarberg

Aarberg dates back to the Middle Ages, and the old city once stood on an island surrounded by the Aare River and the Little Aare River. It now lies above the Aare River in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The entire old town of Aarberg, is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.
