Shenzhen

Shenzhen is a vibrant modern city in China's Guangdong Province. Dubbed as China's Silicon Valley, it is headquarters of many high-tech companies as well as a major financial center in southern China. Shenzhen has roots dating back to ancient times, with archaeological remains found from the Han Dynasty. This port city is situated in the Pearl River Delta, adjacent to Hong Kong. Beaches are popular, with Dameisha and Xiaomeisha the favorites with locals and tourists alike. There is regular ferry transport to Hong Kong, Kowloon and Macau from Shenzhen, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding areas.
